The Way to Design a Bedding Sanctuary

The bedroom is the place where you retreat when you are ready to unwind and catch some zzz’s. In fact, when in the bedroom you are likely to spend more time in the bed than out of it. Hence, this is precisely why that bedding you select for your cradle is ultra important. All those times you heard your mom ramble on about the importance of a high sheet thread count and thought she was just being frou frou, well she wasn’t. And the fact that she used to always bring out grandma’s handmade beautiful quilt when you were under the weather, she knew what she was doing. Certainly, this is not to say that the storage heaters weren’t a great help too, but being tucked in snugly was what really made you feel loved. In addition to that, what she understood was how imperative both comfort and style are to creating a cozy haven.

Thus, when designing your own bedroom sanctuary, be mindful of your intent when purchasing bed linens. You do not have to buy matchy matchy sets, instead assert your personal taste by shopping for independent duvets, pillow shams, dust ruffles, and blankets. Be on the lookout for hand stitching, and a common tone throughout all of the linens you pick out. And don’t forget to load your bed up with pillows galore. A big fluffy bed with a cloud of soft pillows can be the most inviting place in a home, so set one up for yourself, and sleep like a baby in your personal cushy crib.
