Steadfast Rule of Decorating a Childs Room

One steadfast rule of decorating is that clutter only works against you. The most common place to find collections, and trails of belongings is a childs room. Embrace a few quick fixes and the appearance of your kids territory will be greatly improve, and your blood pressure will probably lower too. If a few quick fixes don't work and your kids territory is a bit too cluttered, you could consider asking a carpenter or joiner to help build extra storage space. This however depends entirely on the size of the room and the number of children sharing the room. You would be surprised though how much storage a good carpenter could create even in a small room.

The main thing to remember here is not to buy items that are simply functional or only achieve one purpose. Instead, set out to find good looking, multipurpose articles that will enhance the overall appearance, and minimize disorganization. Keep an eye open for tables with storage underneath. Stop you little one from shoving stuff underneath the bed in the hopes of concealing, instead of putting things in their proper place. Buy a bed with nothing but built in storage under it. This should get the ball rolling towards a room you both can be proud of.
